Comment on the State of Emergency

by Ermie de la Cruz

I do not agree to the State of Emergency because we can't easily judge anyone without having proofs that they have committed a sin or done reckless thing against the law. How about those ugly people or faces? How can we be sure that they are bad ones? What right do we have to judge nor arrest someone we don’t know. I think that is very unreasonable and discriminative. Let’s try to look those elegant people, clean people, those who live in a better place or has the power to control over other peoples’ life. How can we tell that they are innocent? In this world, people are born to comment and to judge but in the depth of God’s love, we are equal. He doesn’t judge nor arrest, he give chances and forgiveness.

Proclamation of State of National Emergency does not mean that they will just arrest the people without any reason or without any solid ground to do it. SNE did not give the President additional power. It's the leftists and other PGMA's critics who over-reacted while the ordinary people just go on with their lives and grateful that PGMA did it, because they are already fed up with the rallyists who does not care about the other people’s right. Who does not care if many poor people losts a day’s income because they were not able to go to their work because of the traffic caused by the unruly rallyists. It's PGMA’s critics and haters who immediately said that PGMA would commit abuses. Is it because they are doing it that they thought PGMA would also do the abuses that they are doing or have done? Let's be vigilant not only on what the government is doing but also on what the other parties do. We should not easily believe what the noisy few are shouting. We only have to look who’s leading the rallies and we will know that the rally is not for the poor or justice and democracy but for power grab and their selfish interest. That's why that proclamation (which has already been lifted) was already needed at that time.

PGMA is not without faults but her positive traits far outweigh them. Who among the plotters and protesters are capable of replacing her in the first place? most of them have vested interests if not wanted to be the president. They cannot even agree among themselves! And they cannot even allow our country to prosper even a little because that would put PGMA on the edge. Her declaration once again proved she can handle a difficult situation. let us all pray the Holy Spirit will guide her not to give in to the temptation of abusing the power that is in her hand.

It's time for us to examine all the rallies that our fellow citizens have had. Those who are leading and pushing the rallies are those in the middle classes who only uses the poor people. SNE had caused them to fear and criticized more on GMA. I am also fed up with the troubles that they are still pushing through which only end in confusions.
