Gawad Kalinga Re-Launching in Paris, France

ANCOP FRANCE announces the launching of Gawad Kalinga 777, a vision to lift our motherland the Philippines out of the third world through building 700,000 homes for the poorest of the poor, in 7,000 communities in 7 years.

Gawad Kalinga, which means “to give care,” is a multi-sectoral effort that transforms slums and disaster zones in the Philippines into beautiful, peaceful, productive communities. More than 10,000 GK homes have been built nationwide already by partners such as President GMA, former President Cory Aquino, Ateneo de Manila University, national and local government units, the Red Cross, corporations such as SMART, McDonalds, Nestle and other strategic partners.

Gawad Kalinga is not just building communities for the poor. Ultimately, it is about rebuilding our nation through bayanihan by bringing out everything heroic and noble in the Filipino in order to transform our country one community at a time. You may wish to visit the ANCOP Gawad Kalinga website.

The guest speaker will be Mr. Dylan Wilk, the Director for International Partnerships of Gawad Kalinga. He is a British national who at the age of 25 was listed as the 9th richest person in England under the age of 30. He is now a generous supporter and a dedicated full-time volunteer of GK.

Already launched in the USA, Canada, Australia and many other countries, the re-launching of GK777 in Paris, France is to be held on Sunday, 3 April 2005 from 13h00 to 15h00 at the Notre Dame de Grâce de Passy, 8-10 rue de l’annonciation Paris 75016. The presentation will be followed by a snack.
